About Toronto Organization Development Network

The Toronto Organization Development Network (TODN) is an association of highly skilled and talented professionals dedicated to helping organizations succeed. TODN provides an opportunity to connect with other industry professionals to share expertise and obtain leading edge insights and practices in OD, in an environment committed to learning and supporting the work we do.

Our History

The TODN was created in 1990 as an association of organization development practitioners representing a range of professional roles in a wide variety of organizations. TODN members work in private industry, non-profit organizations, government agencies, education and independent consulting firms. 

We are affiliated with the Organizational Development Network (ODN), a U.S. based association, with members from more than 90 countries worldwide.

Board of Directors

TODN is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of the following volunteers:

Kristen Thomason, President

Having led global cross functional project teams in large multinational organisations such as Village Roadshow and Mondel─ôz International in Australia, Kristen is now based in Canada and the Director of Sales for iFLY Toronto Indoor Skydiving. She is passionate about finding meaningful ways to engage, motivate and collaborate within the work place. When it comes to successful project delivery, communication and cooperation are key components for the integrated project team. However, true collaboration in a work place is very often challenged by poor working relationships and inability to connect. An ideation aficionado, creative networker and effective change agent devotee, Kristen specializes in finding unique ways to level the playing field, ignite conversation and unite teams in significant ways.

Glennie Mercer, Past-President

Glennie is the founder and principal of Glennie Mercer & Associates, an Organizational Development Consulting and Coaching firm. Established in 1996, Glennie works with clients in the public, healthcare, and not for profit sectors. With a Masters in Education, and as a Certified Coach, Glennie also brings her extensive leadership experience to the work she does with clients and organizations.  

Glennie's focus is on "Creating Positive Energy" in individuals, teams and organizations. Glennie is committed to creating safe and courageous space for dialogue to flourish, understanding to occur, plans to take shape and actions to emerge. 

Melissa Hartley, Treasurer

Melissa brings significant experience in delivering talent development solutions. My reputation for excellent consulting, partnering and presentation skills have gained me the trust of associates and leaders to deliver results in developing their talent for the organization we face today and in the future. 

She has a Masters in Organizational Development.  

Melissa is currently working at Staples in Talent and Leadership Development.

Terri Duguay, Membership Director

Terri is the Managing Partner for Maigus; a consulting firm focused on organizational development, including change management, organizational design and learning and development strategies for organizations undergoing significant transformation. She possesses over 20 years of experience spanning industries from retail, financial services to professional services, and is a certified change management specialist and resilience coach/facilitator for individuals and teams. 

Terri has a Master’s degree from York University in Toronto; is a certified Change Management practitioner, attained her CHRP through Rotman School of Business in Toronto and is certified in Adult Training through George Brown College in Toronto

Bob Nagar, Technology Director

Bob Nagar built his career and facilitative leadership skills over nearly 25 years as an executive with information technology companies in North America with rich cultural diversity in their organizations.  He works with individuals and teams to support them in achieving their best life, doing their most fulfilling work and making their most satisfying contribution.

Bob completed his M.Ed in Adult Education and Counseling Psychology at the University of Toronto in a program focused on workplace, learning and change.  Bob is also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC)


Marilyn Osborne, Program Director

Marilyn coaches executives and leaders in fast-paced work cultures. For every client, her goal is to facilitate the biggest sustainable difference within the shortest time and with clear and direct benefits for their business.

Overall, executives that work with her have improved their leadership capacity, presence and conversational intelligence. As called for depending on each client's coaching priority, she introduces customizable frameworks to support better strategic leadership, decision-making, conflict competence and a leader’s dashboard for fast transfer to self-led development.

Her style is encouraging and direct for a dialogue balanced in challenge and support. Mailyn's credentials include an ACC, ACPC and CPA Executive Coach


Aminata N'Doye, Communications Director

Aminata is an Organizational Development specialist with a background in organizational effectiveness, organization design, learning, performance management as well as change and project management.

With the ability to apply a creative and business-centered approach to problem solving, Aminata has recommended, built and delivered multiple projects and initiatives that truly added value for clients and organizations. Past successes include completing an organization design project resulting in an overall cost savings of over $375 000, developing various educational tools to enhance learning and support service delivery, as well as leading a volunteer engagement study and proposing tangible recommendations to improve engagement.

Aminata holds an IPMA-ACP certification through IPMA-Canada and has several years of board experience leading and contributing to various strategic projects.

Nura Askar, Marketing Director

Nura Askar joins the board as the Director of Marketing to support in the development of partnerships and contribute to supporting the growth and impact of the TODN. Currently, Nura is the Director of Organizational Development for Region Americas at DB Schenker where she is running several transformational and change programs, in charge of succession planning and talent development and facilitation of executive teams. Nura is an MBA graduate from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University and has a BA in International Relations and a BBA in Marketing from Webster University in Switzerland. For fun, Nura mentors and coaches recent university graduates and individuals looking for a career change to brand themselves and target the jobs they are passionate about: a passion in supporting others to achieve their potential!
